Its technology was meant to be scary, not effective. The Empire was focusing on controlling the citizens, not fighting a war. It gave them hope when there was meant to be none.ī. The Republic tech reminded people of, well, the Republic. The Galactic Empire ended up phasing out all Republic tech in favor of its own fear-inspiring stuff. The reasons for why I think the A6 would win can be seen above, but I'll actually go into the Empire's doctrine for a moment. That's why the A6 Juggernaut would win: it's just a better vehicle. Or, if you didn't like that approach, then it would just run into the AT-AT as it charged from a distance. The Juggernaut's extreme offensive ability would prove to be the AT-AT's undoing, as I believe that once the A6 got up close or drove around the back of the walker, it would keep pummeling it until its shields finally gave in. It's shielded extremely well, so while its absorbing enemy fire, it can also be dishing out a return payload.
It's fast, so it can cover ground much quicker than the AT-AT can. The A6 Juggernaut, on the other hand, is more than capable of taking down the Empire's walker.
The AT-AT was meant to spread fear, and while it did that job well, it didn't attack or defend as best to its ability. There is no way that the Galactic Empire's favorite toy would come out on top in this scenario.
